We have lovingly restored the two canal boats trying to keep their original features whilst making them comfortable.
They are very much situated in the corner of a field of a working farm, so I make no apologies if you are wakened by the farmer shifting sheep at 6am! Or if the combine is still going at 10pm, most of the noise and action happens in the farm steading which is half a mile away.
On the farm we grow cereals, make silage, keep sheep, cattle and pigs, alongside 14 windmills. There is a gravel road available to holidaymakers, you are welcome to take a picnic to the top of the hill and enjoy the even better views out to sea and over to the Cheviots.
No vehicles are allowed beyond the canal boats but pushbikes are, we don’t recommend road bikes. Please stick to the roads and do not disturb the crops, cattle and sheep grazing in the fields either side.
To book a stay in one of our barges, please check the avaialability calendar below
